February 8, 2013 Come see what's new! Colors: sea foam green, coral, blush, cream, navy. Patterns: Stripes, paisley, florals, dots (or spots, as they call them across the pond). Shapes: Floaty and flirty, long and swingy, soft pleats. Oh, and did we mention DRESSES? Heard often around the shop -- especially at the edgy and fresh "south side" at 145 N. Market Street: "Ooh, I love dresses" and "Isn't this the cutest little dress ever?"
Unseasonably warm weather brings out customers
January 29, 2013 Temperatures soared to the 70s, and customers from New Market, Rockville, Leesburg and (yes!) Norway came in out of the warm to spirit away goodies from Alicia L's racks. In their bags: Paige jeans, a Mary Frances beaded bag, Tribal vests, Tressics tops, and more. If you happen to be in Peru over spring break, look for Alicia L fashion in the vicinity of Machu Picchu -- 'cause that's the chosen destination for 4 items plucked from the 2-for-1 selection.
Brrrr! But weekend promises to be busy at Alicia L ...
January 25, 2013 If the number of shoppers who came in out of the cold on the most frigid days this week is any indication, bargain-hunting fashion lovers will make Alicia L their go-to retail spot this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We have your size. We have your style. And we definitely have your price. Hurry in! Sale ends January 31.

January 19, 2013 Traffic was heavy on opening day of Alicia L's buy 1/get 1 free Winter Clearance Sale. Outside, the $19 rack was hit hard, and the 50%-off selection wasn't far behind. A long, tall fashionista -- who took I-270 from Northern Virginia for a day of shopping and dining with two friends -- scarfed up two bold graphic-print dresses for the price of one. A less flamboyant (but no less stylish) DC fed-gov careerist bounced back forth between the youthful "south side" and the original shop next door, mixing and matching right and left. The list goes on ...
